Security and Police Forces in Hadhramaut Coast Implement Comprehensive Security Plan for Launch of Al-Balada Tourism Season 2026.

Al-Mukalla – The Security and Police Forces on the Hadhramaut Coast implemented a comprehensive security plan today, Wednesday, to secure the launch of the Al-Balada Tourism Season 2026.


The plan includes wide security deployment at celebration sites, beaches, and main roads, as part of security and organizational measures aimed at providing the highest levels of safety and security for citizens and visitors throughout the season.


The season was inaugurated under the patronage of Presidential Leadership Council Member and Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Salem Ahmad Al-Khanbashi. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Hussein Basleem; Deputy Governor for Coastal and Plateau Districts and Vice Chairman of the Al-Balada Festival Committee Mr. Hassan Al-Jilani; Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs Engineer Zaher Mohammed bin Khawar; Deputy Governor for Development Affairs Mr. Riyadh Al-Jahouri; and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism for Services and Activities Mr. Hussein Al-Sukab. The inauguration marked the start of a tourism and cultural season that reflects Hadhrami heritage and strengthens Hadhramaut’s position as a prominent tourist destination.


The security plan included:

- Enhancing field deployment of security units across all targeted sites

- Organizing traffic flow and crowd management

- Securing beaches and event venues

- Raising operational readiness to ensure rapid response to any developments

All measures are intended to maintain public security and provide a safe and organized atmosphere for season attendees.


Brigadier General Abdulaziz Awad Al-Jabri, Director General of Security and Police – Hadhramaut Coast, confirmed that the security institution has mobilized all its human and logistical resources to ensure the success of the Al-Balad security plan. He stated that protecting citizens and visitors and securing events is a top priority, and reflects the national and professional role of security agencies in serving the community.


Brigadier Al-Jabri added that all security units are operating according to a well-coordinated field plan and in coordination with relevant authorities. This ensures smooth movement, maintenance of security and order, and enhances a sense of reassurance among citizens and visitors, contributing to the success of the season and presenting Hadhramaut in a civilized image befitting its status.


The General Directorate of Security and Police – Hadhramaut Coast renewed its call for citizens and visitors to cooperate with security personnel, adhere to the instructions and guidelines regulating season activities, and report any emergencies or observations via the toll-free number 199. This reaffirms the principle of community partnership in maintaining security and stability and ensuring the success of the Al-Balad Tourism Season 2026.


A safe and well-managed tourism season is the foundation for a positive visitor experience.
