Al-Mansoura District in the capital Aden witnessed today a grand honoring ceremony celebrating Mr. Adel Mohammed Al-Houshabi, former Director General of the Tourism Office, in appreciation of his career filled with giving and his prominent contributions to developing the tourism sector and strengthening Aden’s status as a promising tourist and cultural destination.
The ceremony was attended by a number of official leaders and social and media figures, who praised the pioneering role Al-Houshabi played during his years leading the Tourism Office, and the achievements he accomplished that contributed to stimulating tourism activity and consolidating institutional work in this vital sector.
In a speech during the ceremony, the current Director General of the Tourism Office, Omar Katbi, praised the career of the honoree, affirming that Al-Houshabi represented a model of successful management and sincere work, and left clear marks on the path of advancing the tourism sector in the capital Aden.
For his part, Aden Governorate Representative Mohammed Saeed Salem conveyed the greetings of the governorate’s leadership, noting that honoring loyal national competencies embodies the values of loyalty and gratitude to everyone who has contributed sincerely to serving the nation and society.
Eman Yousef, Director General of the Tourism Office in Aden, also reviewed the most prominent achievements and milestones the tourism sector witnessed in recent years, affirming that Al-Houshabi was one of the main architects of these successes, through his support for tourism projects and his efforts to enhance the governorate’s tourism presence.
The ceremony included a documentary film titled “Tourism Today,” which highlighted the reality of the tourism sector in Aden, and reviewed its most prominent tourism components and promising investment opportunities. The film received wide praise from attendees for the vision it presented reflecting the importance of tourism as an economic, cultural, and development resource for the governorate.
This honor comes in recognition of the major role Adel Al-Houshabi played in serving Aden’s tourism, and in appreciation of his efforts that contributed to highlighting Aden’s historical and cultural components and strengthening its presence on the map of local and regional tourism.
