Presidential Leadership Council Member & Hadhramaut Governor Receives Outcomes of Al-Balda Season Workshop and Stresses Turning It into a Sustainable Development Resource

Presidential Leadership Council member and Hadhramaut Governor Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi received today the recommendations and outcomes of the workshop titled “Analyzing Challenges and Exploring Opportunities in Al-Balda Season and Its Role in Enhancing the Local Economy,” which was organized by the Ministry of Tourism Office on the Hadhramaut Coast in partnership with Midad Hadhramaut Center for Research and Strategic Studies.
During the meeting, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office on the Hadhramaut Coast Mr. Majdi Bashadi reviewed the key outcomes of the two-day workshop, which included the presentation of several scientific and analytical papers, in addition to discussion sessions that addressed the current state of Al-Balda season and its economic and tourism importance, ways to develop eco-tourism and cultural tourism related to it, and improving the organizational and marketing aspects of the season to contribute to maximizing its economic and development returns.
The Presidential Leadership Council member and Hadhramaut Governor praised the efforts exerted by the Tourism Office and the Center, stressing the importance of benefiting from scientific studies in developing Al-Balda season and transforming it into a more impactful and sustainable economic and tourism resource.
The meeting was attended by Arwa Al-Akbari, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office on the Hadhramaut Coast, Shaima Al-Hatef, Director of the Relations and Projects Unit at Midad Hadhramaut Center for Research and Strategic Studies, and a number of officials from the Center.
