The Governor of Hadhramaut and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, met with the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Executive Director of the Tourism Promotion Council, Intisar Al-Hadali, to discuss ways to enhance tourism in Hadhramaut and preparations for the 2026 Al-Balada Tourism Festival.
Al-Khanbashi emphasized the local authority's interest in the tourism sector as a significant cultural and economic contributor, stressing the need to intensify preparations for the festival and involve youth groups and scouts to enhance aesthetics and traffic management.
Al-Hadali conveyed the greetings of Tourism Minister Motee Damaj, highlighting the ministry's interest in Hadhramaut's cultural and tourism diversity. She noted the ministry's allocation of a supportive budget for the festival and offered suggestions to enhance tourism presence and event quality.
The Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office in Hadhramaut Coast, Magdi Bashadi, presented the tourism guiding program implemented by the office in coordination with the Bin Doul Development Foundation and executed by the Bin Doul Academy for Training and Development, involving 25 trainees interested in tourism and guiding. He indicated the possibility of replicating the experience in other governorates in the future.
