A comprehensive tourist guiding training program was launched in Al-Mukalla. Organized by the Ministry of Tourism Office in Hadhramaut Coast in coordination with the Bin Dawl Foundation for Development and implemented by the Bin Dawl Academy for Training and Development, the program includes 25 male and female trainees interested in tourism and tourist guiding and will run from May 16 to 21, 2026.
At the launch ceremony, Mr. Magdi Saleh Bashadi, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office in Hadhramaut Coast, emphasized the importance of such specialized programs, which contribute to developing qualified tourism personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to advance the tourism sector and enhance the cultural image of Hadhramaut Governorate.
Ms. Arwa Abdul Latif Al-Akbari, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office, also praised the importance of investing in human capital, considering tourist guiding a cultural and civilizational face that reflects the history and identity of the governorate to visitors and tourists.
For his part, Mr. Shaif Al-Ansi, Director of the Bin Dawl Foundation for Development and the Bin Dawl Academy for Training and Development, explained that the program is part of the Foundation's efforts to support and empower young people and enhance their capabilities in various developmental and professional fields.
The program is being presented by trainer Shadi Masjedi, who is training participants in tour guiding skills and methods of interacting with visitors, thus contributing to the development of qualified tourism professionals capable of representing Hadhramaut in a civilized and distinguished manner.
The launch was attended by Mr. Ibrahim Bakhlah, Director of the Tourism Office in Al-Mukalla District.
