As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism Office in Hadhramaut Coast to develop the tourism sector and provide it with professionally qualified national personnel, a strategic partnership and joint coordination agreement was signed today at the Bin Doul Academy for Training and Development between the Ministry of Tourism Office in Hadhramaut Coast and the Bin Doul Foundation and Academy for Development and Training.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Magdi Saleh Bashadi, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office, and Mr. Shaif Ali Al-Ansi, Executive Director of the Bin Doul Foundation and Academy, in the presence of Ms. Arwa Abdul Latif Al-Akbari, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Tourism Office.

This agreement marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation aimed at organizing and revitalizing tourism in the governorate according to high professional standards. The partnership focuses on implementing the "Comprehensive Training Program in Tourist Guiding," which will commence on May 16, 2026, with the goal of preparing a generation of tourist guides capable of representing Hadhramaut and its cultural heritage in a distinguished manner. The Ministry of Tourism office confirmed that the program will consist of six days of intensive training, covering both theoretical and practical aspects. The office also announced that trainees who successfully complete the program will receive official licenses to practice as tour guides. This ensures that tourism services are provided under the direct and reliable supervision of the Ministry, guaranteeing the quality of information and services offered to tourists and visitors.

To ensure the highest quality standards, the office explained that the selection process for participants will be rigorous, beginning with screening applications submitted through an online link, followed by personal interviews. Twenty-five trainees will be selected to represent the first cohort of certified guides, based on the terms and criteria established by the office to guarantee competence and excellence.

This initiative is part of the strategic vision of the Ministry of Tourism office in the Hadhramaut Coast, which aims to institutionalize tourism and open up career opportunities for ambitious young people, thus contributing to sustainable development in the governorate.
