The Governor of the Archipelago of Socotra received the engineer Raft Ali Ibrahim, today, in his office in the Governorate Council, who is the business of the Chinese Ambassador to Yemen, Shao Cheng.
At the end of the meeting, the dignified governor welcomed the Chinese official, praising the depth of Yemeni-Chinese relations and what constitutes a model of fruitful cooperation that lasts for many years, introducing him to the governorate.
During the meeting, the research of the prospects of mutual cooperation and to promote the future partnership between China and Socotra Governorate in various development areas was carried out.
The meeting focused on scientific and research cooperation in the fields of environment, climate change studies and specialized research, including studying the unique environmental situation of Sotra, alongside discussing the possibility of sending delegations of specialists to China to look at leading practices and gain expertise.in biodiversity protection, tourism, culture, health and education, agriculture, and fisheries.
On his part, the Chinese ambassador expressed his keenness to continue cooperation with the Governorate of Socotra, stating that the partnership will continue growingly from one project to another and meet the development needs and support stability and prosperity in the archipelago.
