A meeting held Thursday in the interim capital, Aden, chaired by Hussein Al-Sakab, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism for the Services and Activities Sector, discussed preparations for the celebration of World Tourism Day, which will be held on September 27 under the theme "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation."
The meeting, attended by Adel Al-Hawshbi, Director of the Aden Tourism Office, reviewed final arrangements and approved several accompanying events, including folkloric heritage performances, diving activities to showcase the beauty of the sea and coral reefs, an exhibition of handicrafts and traditional crafts, and other activities reflecting Adeni customs and traditions.
Al-Sakab emphasized that the celebration will witness broad participation from tourism establishments, contributing to highlighting the potential of tourism in Aden, enhancing its role in sustainable development, and attracting local and international visitors.
