An expanded meeting in Tarim discusses strengthening the role of the tourism sector.The Tourism Office and the Tourist Police and Antiquities Protection Department in Hadhramaut Valley organized an extensive meeting with owners of tourist facilities in Tarim District to discuss the state of the tourism sector and ways to enhance its role in supporting the local economy, stimulating tourism activity, and implementing security measures for guests of tourist facilities. Tarim District Director Hassan Al-Duwailah emphasized the local authority's interest in enhancing the city's tourism sector and working to support the private sector and tourism facility owners, helping to highlight Tarim's civilized image. He noted that the district boasts a wealth of cultural and heritage assets that make it a national tourist attraction. Ali Al-Saqqaf, director of the Hadramaut Valley and Desert Tourism Office, pointed out that this meeting comes in line with the directives of the Ministry of Tourism leadership and the local authority leadership to support tourism projects, enhance communication and coordination with tourism sector workers, including hotels, agencies, and service facilities, and work together to raise the efficiency of services and enhance the quality of performance. For his part, the Director of the Tourist Police and Antiquities Protection Department, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al-Saqqaf, stressed the importance of tourism establishment owners committing to using official and approved documents in all their daily dealings and cooperating with security agencies to contribute to maintaining security and stability in the Hadhramaut Valley and Desert.
