Yemen Airways has announced the launch of its online booking service in October, allowing passengers to book flights and issue tickets directly from their smart devices.
The company's official spokesperson, Hatem Al-Shaabi, said the service will allow payment via Visa and Mastercard through the Geidea electronic payment gateway.
Al-Shaabi added that the move is part of the company's efforts to develop the national carrier's services and promote digital transformation, noting that the company's leadership, represented by Chairman Captain Nasser Mahmoud Mohammed and Deputy General Manager for Commercial Affairs Mr. Abdullah Saleh Al-Shaeri, continues to implement development programs despite the challenges facing the company.
He confirmed that Yemenia has opened new destinations in recent months and introduced aircraft into service, culminating in the announcement of the launch of online booking, explaining that the company is working on completing a package of additional services that will be launched successively to improve passenger service and provide easier and more flexible options.
The announcement coincides with Yemen's celebrations of the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution and the 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution.
