Yemenia - Yemen Airways has announced the launch of its direct flights between Aden and Dammam starting October 8, 2026, with two flights per week, as part of its plan to expand its network and boost travel between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
The airline's official spokesperson, Hatem Al-Shaabi, said Dammam will become Yemenia's third destination within the Kingdom, noting that the new route aims to facilitate travel for citizens and meet passengers' needs, especially in the Eastern Province.
He added that the new route will also serve members of the Yemeni community in neighboring countries to which Yemenia does not operate direct flights, by providing an additional travel option via Dammam, helping to facilitate their movement, reduce travel time, and enhance air connectivity options.
He explained that the flights will provide additional options for travelers in the Eastern Province and transit passengers with a waiting time of no more than two hours, contributing to reduced travel time and improved flight connections.
The official spokesperson affirmed that the company's leadership, represented by Chairman Captain Nasser Mahmoud Mohammed and Deputy General Manager for Commercial Affairs Mr. Abdullah Saleh Al-Shaeri, continues its efforts to develop the flight network and enhance air transport services.
He pointed out that the launch of the route comes in response to the growing travel demand between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and represents a new addition to the national carrier's network and an enhancement of air connectivity between the two countries.
